Since the time allotted for the execution of combat or training tasks is limited, proper and uncompromising preparation is of great importance for achieving the set tasks – every element of equipment must be in its place and be used without undue effort. As we know, time is our ally and our enemy. Taking this circumstance into account, we developed these knee pads with the idea of a quick and safe assembly solution – we have thought about a simplified, easy putting on/taking off. The knee pads are quick and easy to put on. As shown in the picture, the knee pads are worn over the clothes. This solution has proven itself to be the most universal. The back part of the knee pads is made of flexible water-repellent and durable polyester fabric material and can be adjusted to the required size with an elastic connection and durable fastening clips.
The profile of the knee pads is maximally adapted to the shapes of different knee joints inside and for a maximally discreet appearance on the outside. Designed in such a way as to minimize the entanglement of various foreign objects behind the edges of the outer protective material. Used isolation material in high and cool weather conditions will keeps away direct contact with the ground which reduces moisture and altitude penetration behind the knee pads.
The surface material is made of high-quality polyethylene and can be reinforced with carbon fiber. The version without carbon fiber material has a slight presence of elasticity, which makes it even more comfortable to wear. The top layer of the surface is matte, non-slip, with a rubbery feel. In field conditions, this material is practically impossible to split, even when used in terrain that requires movement over rocky terrain covered with sharp debris.
When testing knee pads, their good resistance to the effects of the weather was clearly demonstrated. And that is, roughly speaking, 40% of the time of use, they were exposed to high humidity. The knee pads did not absorb moisture, thus not causing discomfort to the wearer during the entire combat task. In about 30% of cases, knee pads were exposed to direct sunlight (UV rays). Upon closer inspection, we concluded with satisfaction that the color effect on the material was minimal. The color has retained its original shade and only its saturation has slightly decreased for the very top layer of the material, i.e. in places that have had direct contact with an abrasive surface, sand, etc. Another 30% of the time, knee pads were exposed to low temperatures and snow. And the results are again pleasing. The upper hard material did not lose its strength and elasticity characteristics, while the fabric did not become stiffer or “noisier” when moving. Prolonged snow on the fabric slightly affected its moisture resistance, but not critically.
Apart from all the features of these knee pads, we can highlight their weight, it is only………. grams, which is a big advantage compared to other manufacturers’ products. And this circumstance is really appreciated at the moment when you are in full combat gear, in field conditions, performing a combat or training mission.
The above test results confirmed the sustainability and reliability of the product. We made sure that we have developed high-quality knee pads for wide-profile use by army units, as well as hunters who value a comfortable stay in the forest.
